6D5N SHIMLA – MANALI TOUR

Day 01: CHANDIGARH – SHIMLA 120 Km, around 3 hours drive D

Start with your land journey to reach Shimla. As the name suggests, the entry in to Himachal starts with the hills and undulating mountain ride towards Shimla. After reaching Shimla check in to your hotel. Afternoon drive to Jakhu Temple and then drive to the Mall to visit the Mall and the Ridge Christ Church built in (1844), The Gaiety Theatre- the first beauty contest of world was supposed to start (1887), The Grind lays Bank (1912)- the world wide bank started by Robert Melville Grind lay, The Scandal Point. Evening return to Hotel for dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: SHIMLA LOCAL SIGHT SEEING KUFRI BD

After breakfast visit Kufri, known for its Himalayan National Park. You can opt for Poney and Yak Ride to enjoy endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri higher reaches. After lunch drive to visit Indian Institute of Advance Studies earlier known as Vice regal Lodge built in (1885). Another evening at the Mall to spend or shop at different markets on the Mall Road. Evening return to Hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: SHIMLA – MANALI 250 Km, around 7 hours drive BD

After a refreshing breakfast start your journey to the next destination of Manali. This journey offers a dramatic changes in nature from Lower Himalayas to Shivalik Himalayas and then again to the lower Himalayas. You will be driving form a hilltop to different valley structures and sometimes driving along different rivers. We also stop to witness the manufacturing process of World famous shawl of Kullu Valley. There are plenty of other artefacts & crafts to buy as souvenir or a small gift to your near & dear ones. On completion carry on further to visit the Vaishno Mata Shrine. On completion, drive to Manali & transfer to Hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

Day 04: MANALI LOCAL SIGHT SEEING BD

Arrive Manali and assisted transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel for freshening up & enjoy your gourmet breakfast (early check in is subjected to availability, normal check in is around 12:00 noon). Have your relaxed time before you set on a half day Manali exploration tour. Start with the visit and photography of 1553 AD constructed wooden carved “Hidimba Devi Temple” also spelled as “Hadimba”. It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi, sister of Hidimba, who was a character in the Indian epic, Mahabarata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest. Continue to Old Manali village, names after great Hindu sage Manu. As per the legend and mythology, human and nature pass through a cycle of development and finally destroyed by deluge and few habitants survive in this cycle. During the last deluge, Manu was leader of the habitants on earth who survived on celestial boat and landed here at Manali. He set the rules now known as “Manu Sahinta” and leaded the habitants who survived with him. On completion drive to, Vashisth Village and Temple, Vashisth Hot Water Springs, Van Vihar, Manali Market, The Mall and Tibetan Monastery. At the end of the day free to explore the Shopping malls of Manali & walk around traffic free Manali Mall Road for shopping and own activitiesDinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Manali.

Day 05: MANALI – SOLANG – MANALI SIGHT SEEING & EXPLORATION BD

Enjoy your relaxed morning at your hotel and after a delicious breakfast start with your drive to reach Solan Valley visiting Nehru Kund on the way, which is around 5 Kms out of Manali. A Clear Water Spring, Scenic Spot Named after first Prime minister of Independent India the Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Carry on further with the spectacular drive uphill to reach Solang Valley, a picturesque Village situated at the Northern most part of Kullu Valley at the juncture of peer Panjal & Dhauladhar Ranges of Western Himalayas. Have a fun filled day at Solang, it offers a lot do for the adventure enthusiasts as well as nature lovers, the activities offered here are Paragliding, All Terrain Bikes, Horse Ride, Zorbing, Skiing, Trekking and Cable Car ride to the Hill Top for panoramic views of the valley as well as the Mountain ranges. All the activities are based on the season & climate. Evening get back to Hotel overnight stay in the hotel. (Rohtang Pass is not included in the package due to the NGT restriction)

Day 06: MANALI – KULLU – CHANDIGARH 310 km, around 8 hours drive B

After breakfast drive down to Chandigarh stopping at Bajaura to visit Basheshvar Mahadev temple with fine stone carvings and sculptures is believed to have been built in the mid 8th century. It is truly an incredible structure. On the banks of the river Beas, roughly about 200 m off the road. After visiting temple we drive to Chandigarh and transfer to train station or airport for your planned onwards journey.
